Help Alice Cooper Find A Great Garage Band

Alice Cooper has teamed up with Cooper Tires (cute, right?) to find the next great garage band in America. There are three bands competing for the title - and the winner will get the chance to open for Evanescence during a livestream concert. Alice Cooper will preside over the show. Check out the new bands and vote by visiting the contest website. Each is performing a cover of "Under My Wheels."

I'll just point out that South of Eden, from Columbus, Ohio, is one of the three and they are great!

Buckcherry Releases New Video, Song

Buckcherry has a new song called "So Hott" from the upcoming album Hellbound. I have to say, sadly, that "So Hott" didn't do much for me and I hate the video too. Maybe I dislike the video so much because I despise Instagram. Maybe the rest of the tracks on Hellbound will be better. What do you think?

It's all happening! We are getting new Skid Row music - just no word yet when that album will be available. I have high hopes for this new music - and I wish the band well in their creative endeavors in making us all some new rocking tunes.

News Of The Week Roundup: Week 15, 2021

Prince Philip was laid to rest yesterday in a grand funeral that was sparsely attended because of COVID-19 protocols. Seeing the Queen alone was sad on many levels.

There have been 47 mass shootings in just the last month in America. Other countries do not have this problem.

The Indianapolis gunman bought his weapons legally - after having a weapon seized because of his mental state. He should have never been allowed to purchase more weapons. But here we are.

This might be the most horrifying story I have read from the COVID-19 pandemic and boy, that's saying something:

Are you fully vaxxed and ready to travel during the pandemic? I am! In fact, I am going to Disney World in mid-June. I have not flown since the pandemic was declared in America (well, I haven't traveled anywhere, actually) and I am very excited for my trip. I am glad my flight is a short one at around two hours. Eric and I were not ready to tackle a long-haul flight wearing masks and seeing this story below, I am glad we settled on one domestic trip this year.

I thought this was interesting - and not surprising:

And I leave you with this:

'Chokehold' -- Official Video

The other day I posted that P.J. Farley of Trixter was releasing a new video. Here is the full track called "Chokehold" from the album Accent The Change. Say what you want, the chorus is catchy as hell. The solo at 2:50 is great too.
