Programming Alert - 'Rock Legends'

Set your DVRs - new rockumentaries on some of our faves are coming soon to A&E. The series is called Rock Legends and will feature Bret Michaels, Dee Snider, Alice Cooper, Sebastian Bach and Sammy Hagar.

It will be interesting to watch to see if we learn anything new from these guys - since they have all been the subject of many biographical interviews in the past. Still, I never miss a chance to enjoy some Glam on TV - so I will be watching!

The first show debuts on June 16 via A&E.

Bret Michaels Announces Parti-Gras 2024 With Celeb Guests!

We're doing Parti Gras again this summer and this time, Bret Michaels is brining along some famous friends including Chris Janson, Dee Snider, Lou Gramm and Don Felder. So far there are only a handful of dates announced but I'm sure more are coming. Say what you want about Bret Michaels, but his shows are always fun and equal summer to me!

Bret Michaels On CMT Tonight

Yes, the headline is correct. Bret Michaels will be on CMT tonight with Chris Janson. I don't follow country music, so I don't know who Chris Janson is, but I do know the two did a duet of the Poison classic "Talk Dirty To Me."

The CMT Crossroads special is on tonight at 9pm ET.

Good Guy Bret Michaels - Nothin' But A Woof Time

I love this story - probably the best news of the week, honestly! Bret Michaels (the singer) just adopted Bret Michaels (the dog) from a Nebraska shelter.

Thanks to a blood donation from the dog Michaels, a kitten got a second chance at life. The kitten was suffering from flea anemia and the dog blood was a match! Thanks to the power of social media, Bret Michaels (the singer) learned about hero-dog Bret Michaels and moved swiftly to adopt the dog.

My guess is the husky was named Bret Michaels because he's so attractive. I said what I said.

Bret Michaels 'Parti-Gras' Live Review

Last night, Eric and I went to see Bret Michaels on his Parti-Gras tour. Today is my birthday but the concert was part of the weekend festivities. The show was at a place called J.D. Legends in Franklin, Ohio -- just a few miles from my house. I'm actually seeing Slaughter at the same venue Friday night.

Bret played for exactly an hour, so I would say that's a good payday for sixty minutes of work. We got most of the Poison hits and the last song was a cover of "Sweet Home Alabama" by Lynyrd Skynyrd.

The place was well packed and it was an outdoor show. Perfect weather definitely helped and brought out a large crowd. Highlights for me included "Unskinny Bop" and "Ride The Wind" of course. Bret also said Poison would be on the road in 2025 - something he has said previously, so it seems like that plan is going to stick and it will be interesting to see how joins on that package.

Bret comes to J.D. Legends about every summer and he did take a moment to thank folks in attendance for also showing up to the Cincinnati stop of the Stadium Tour with Motley Crue and Def Leppard. For what it's worth, Bret sounded good and seemed like he was in a great mood. The show was no bullshit - just music and it was over by 10:15. I'm old so I liked that a lot.

I noticed a whole lot of smiling folks while leaving the venue. It sure seemed like everyone had nothing but a good time - I just wish someday I could hear "Fallen Angel," "Back To the Rocking Horse" and "Love on the Rocks" live.
