New Friday Music: Steelheart

Steelheart is bringing us some new music today. Behold the download of "Come Inside" from the upcoming album Through Worlds Of Stardust.

I like this track more than "You Got Me Twisted." It's heavy but definitely sounds more like Steelheart to me. What do you think?

Better than "you got me twisted" for sure. It is not bad, I can actually listen to it. Still lacking something but not bad.

"Heavy"??? Surely you jest? My opinion is that this sucks just like the first song did, and sounds nothing like their first 2 CDs. I'm sure the community centers will be packed for this tour though!

Horrible. Just like their last one.

Hmmmm, this one isn't that bad. I do, however, find myself wondering if I would like it as much if it didn't have a classic band's name attached to it. Clearly the new one from L.A. Guns is going to blow everything else away in the hard rock genre this year so at least there's that to look forward to. btw, I know our Mistress of glam will eventually ask us for our albums of the year, but since I already brought one up, let me put in a plug for Barry Goudreaux's Engine room - Full Steam Ahead. If that name doesn't sound familiar, Barry Goudreaux was the second guitarist in the band Boston. He is a fine player in his own right, and his new record is a fantastic blend of bluesy rock with a slightly hard edge.

Agreed, Shawn and Bob, as well as most everyone else on here, except, perhaps, for the overtrollers, we can pretty safely predict the new L.A. Guns album is going to kick everyone else's a*s this year barring any unforeseen last minute entry that just might roll in before midnight, December 31st.

As for this Steelheart track, unlike BK and JAT, as well as Bob's and Sean's somewhat reserved apreciation, I think this track flat out ROCKS and makes me proud I once shook the legemd's hand at M3 a few years back toward the end of an incredible performance. Even with his voice half shot, he still blows away most of the singers out there today, as not only evidenced on this recording but what I heard with my own to ears at M3 that year.
