Richie Kotzen 'The Damned' -- Music Video

We have new Richie Kotzen music today! He just released a video for his new song "The Damned." The song isn't part of an album or anything. Kotzen just wanted to record and release some new music. It's the way of the world now, of course. As always, Kotzen's music just keeps getting better. Totally underrated.

God damn I like that.👍👍 Channeling some southern blues. Guy grew up about 40 miles from me. Say he was TEACHING. guitar down in Reading PA at the ripe old age of 12-13. Lol Remember seeing him in Arthur's Museum numerous times way back when...

This is HUGE!!! Finally, Kotzen puts out something as good or better than when he was a teenager in Arthur’s Museum!

Beyond the actual song itself (which is absolutely KILLER, replete with a blazing Jeff Beckian solo!), his new Appalachian Cowboy schtick plus the Hick + Hipster = Hickster Bass and Drums motif suits him well.

It would be great to see him do a whole album’s worth of stuff like this. Just imagine the flaming solos he could lay on us with this approach!

The video is also very well done and even displays a little self deprecating humor at the end, something that’s been missing from his persona since the unintentional comedy of his Poison days.

So glad to see he’s taking a break from that Scientologist Murderer and the Overplaying Hack Drummer he saddled himself with in his way to serious and boring Whinery Hogs project.

Not just on his latest incarnation’s own merits, I wish him major success partly just so he won’t feel the need to revert back to that mindless drain on his creativity by those two idealess dolts..

Hey, look, it only took him 30 years to hit on the right formula! Better late than never!
