Joan Jett and the Blackhearts Record New Video For Us

Imagine going through this lockdown period without the technology we have today. At least we can see each other safely through Zoom or FaceTime. Joan Jett and the Blackhearts recorded a video for "Light of Day" while in individual quarantine.
Later today, we'll cross 1 million cases of COVID-19 worldwide. Pretty grim. I keep looking ahead to summer but at this point, I do not think the big Motley Crue/Def Leppard/Poison/Joan Jett tour will happen. Sorry to be the Debbie Downer but I just don't see it happening now. I hope I'm wrong.

Joan Jett is a RRHOF legend who should actually be in twice if they ever get around to inducting The Runaways!
The bands on this bill, Mötley Crüe and Poison, both in particular, owe a huge debt to her as an influence and they would be the first to tell you that!
I’m back baby! Sorry, Boyz! Kinda been going through some rough stuff with the d*mn Coronavirus effecting my biz ...
Glad to have you back, Metalboy! Sorry to hear about your troubles. I am gonna leave it to you to respond to our site's 'legend in his own lunchtime'. He's about as urbane as a GoGurt Consommé, and has the self-awareness of a shadow. He thought the Kentucky Derby was a type of hat!
Agree, texjay. Everyone stay safe. And I do mean everyone.
And, by the way, responding to you is not stalking, bkallday. You know that. A posting section is meant for give-and-take. So why turn it up to 10 when 5 or 6 will suffice? People (or me, if you like) criticize your comments and then, the next thing you know, you are suggesting we (or me, if you like) want you banned from the site. Me? As recently as this week, I was agreeing with you and giving you your due. You? You have a fairly narrow skill-set when it comes to rejoinders, esp. those that that involve people who irk you for some reason. Heck, you went to a mussel beach and started lifting weights!
I kid. But you know that. I hope you are doing well. Now drop that beautiful mic. LOL (as you might say . . . I would never call you a putz though).
What the posers don’t know and the REAL Rockers do is The New York Dolls are major influences of both the Crüe AND Poison ...
They were one of THE first if not the first of the American bands who defined the Glam look that became so prevalent in the 80’s, particularly on the Sunset Strip Glam Metal Scene and beyond.
If you listen to The Dolls’ first album you’ll spot where C.C. stole his licks from legendary Dolls guitarist, Johnny Thunders and hear the inspiration for both Crüe’s and POISON’s lyrics.
It was a wonderful gesture on the part of Sixx to tour with The Dolls and the least he could do as both homage and payback for all the theft Crüe and POISON committed on them over the years.
Like, huh-uh-lo-oh!, EVERY time they write, record and perform to this day!
And the same goes for Jett! One can totally hear her influence on both POISON and Crüe, not just musically but right down to their hair and make up choices back in the day, haha!!
Hey, how about a song called, “It’s All Rock & Roll”!
Wait, I better write it before somebody else does!
I should really use that Preview feature now and again Eric brilliantly integrated into the functionality of this deceptively simple and glorious site!
Rock and Roll People! People, Let’s Rock and Roll”! \m/
New York Dolls are a classic, Metalboy! I always giggle when I think about how Blackie Lawless spent a hot minute in the band (touring) before things completely imploded. Hope you are doing well.
