Alice Cooper, 'Black Mamba' -- New Music

Here we go! The first new music from the reunited, original Alice Cooper band is here. The track is called "Black Mamba" and just listen to that groove! This is old school, ya'll and it is magnificent. The song will be on the upcoming album The Revenge of Alice Cooper.

I'm seeing Alice live next month - I wonder if I will get this track in the set?

wow, talk about throwback. that sound and groove are pure alice cooper band genius. my question is more what gets dropped from the setlist, and who is playing what on the live tour if this gets added.

So glad Coop is still bringing us music. But, I gotta' say, I am the outlier here. This song is just meh to me.

It sounds like old school Alice (which I prefer to the 80s rebirth/reboot), but just a touch too slow. And the talky style, which is sorta' a trademark of his earlier stuff when he wasn't belting it out, here sounds . . . well, tired and too talky. And I cutting him some slack, too, as he is 77 years young this year (who would've believed?!?!).

Like I said, still glad he is bringing it. And glad he is working in the guys from the bygone era. Just hope some of the other songs have a bit more pep in their steps. This is, to me, warm milk and Epsom salts. Time for a nap.
