Vinnie Vincent Plans To Go Outside

Believe it or not, Vinnie Vincent is about to head out into the sun and perform at a KISS expo. It will be his first public performance in about two decades. The expo is in Atlanta and you can even meet Vincent if you buy the $289 VIP package. That VIP experience is limited to 100 people.

The event takes place January 20, 2018.

It will be interesting to see how this goes down. Vincent is nuts and also a recluse and you know he'll be mobbed. He's wildly talented - in fact, he's probably the person with the most raw musical talent to ever play in KISS.

I know some of you will go to this. Wanna write a review of the meet and greet for the rest of us?

The Eagles Announce Concert Dates

A classic band I've never seen live is The Eagles. The group is hitting the road for a short "tour" this fall. It will be the first tour without Glenn Frey. Right now, only four dates have been announced:

  • Greensboro Coliseum in North Carolina on October 17
  • Philips Arena in Atlanta, Georgia on October 20
  • KFC Yum! Center in Louisville, Kentucky on October 24
  • Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, Michigan on October 27

It's speculated that the band will announce more dates and make it more of a full fledged tour. Frey's son Deacon is playing guitar in the band for these dates. If you want to go to one of these shows, get ready: tickets are going to be really expensive.

Pantone Honors Prince

So this is very cool. The Pantone Color Institute has announced "Love Symbol #2," a beautiful shade of purple to honor the late musician.

The color of "Love Symbol #2" was inspired by the hue of a piano Prince was going to take on tour before his untimely death.

It will be interesting to see if this shade of purple becomes the "it" color in fashion - Prince's estate licenses everything, so I can see how this will turn into a money maker. I'm just glad Prince is getting a little nod this way.

Heavy Hitters on SNL

Here's a compilation of the heaviest performances from Saturday Night Live over the years.

Skid Row is around 27 minutes in and there are two back to back amazing performances. Definitely worth a watch.

L.A. Guns, 'Sticky Fingers'

Woo boy! L.A. Guns have just released the audio of "Sticky Fingers," another track off their upcoming album The Missing Peace. That record comes out October 6.

This is another good one. The Missing Peace is going to be very strong I think. Phil Lewis and Tracii Guns belong together, for better or worse. Enjoy.

Literally Nothing Matters

A song of dead air is now climbing the iTunes chart. I get the point - so it can be the first track on an iPhone and not blast into a car stereo, but still. Actual musicians are competing against this. The track is called "A a a a a Very Good Song" by Samir Mezrahi.

Watch Alice Cooper Burn Down Wacken Open Air

First off, click play on the video below. Just look at the sea of humanity. I dare anyone to say metal is dead. Second, why is Alice Cooper playing during the day? Third, watch the legend burn it down.

I pity the bands who followed him at Wacken Open Air earlier this summer. Here's amazing performances of both "Feed My Frankenstein" and "School's Out." Happy Friday!
