The Biggest Collection Of Glam Cameos Ever?

Was the video for Sam Kinison's "Wild Thing" the biggest collection of Glam cameos ever? The amount of famous folks in the clip is pretty astounding really, from Jon Bon Jovi, to Steven Tyler to Slash to Billy Idol, Sebastian Bach and so many more, not to mention Jessica Hahn and Rodney Dangerfield.

Kinison's version of "Wild Thing" is not something I normally listen to - it just happened to be on Hair Nation at like 5 a.m. today and this triggered my memory of the crazy video. I was trying to think of a video that featured more of our favorites but I couldn't do it. Is there one? Click for the IMDB cast list of the video.

'The World Tour' Adds American Dates And Alice Cooper

You already know that Motley Crue and Def Leppard are taking The Stadium Tour to other countries in the coming months and calling the run The World Tour. Now, the band has added some American dates - and also Alice Cooper has joined the bill.

One of the dates added is Columbus, Ohio but at this time I do not have plans to grab tickets. Also I think Alice Cooper will probably outperform Motley each night. Def Leppard can still hold their own, but there is no contest between frontmen when it comes to Alice Cooper versus Vince Neil. Alice wins every time.

Aerosmith Cancels Remaining Las Vegas Residency Dates

Steven Tyler of Aerosmith is sick with an undisclosed illness. The band canceled two Las Vegas residency dates last week because of the illness. Overnight the band cancelled the remaining two Vegas residency performances that were scheduled for tonight and Sunday.

This especially stings because I am writing this from a hotel room in Las Vegas. I came out here to see the residency tonight. I have been trying to see this gig for years now - since before the pandemic started! So many things have happened that have caused me to not be able to see the show I have determined it was not in my destiny to see Aerosmith as part of Deuces Are Wild. It wasn't in the cards I guess you could say. At any rate, I hope Steven gets well soon. The illness has to be serious to cancel so many shows and all the band members are old now. At this point I just want to get home to my cat. Special shout out to the folks watching him and the house. You know who you are!

Steel Panther, '1987' - New Video

So this song made me literally laugh out loud. Steel Panther has a video for their track "1987" from the upcoming album On The Prowl, which is also just a badass title for a glam album with a cat theme.

Honestly, this is the best Steel Panther song in years. Great guitar solo around the 2:50 mark too.

"1987, you're always gonna be the best!"

Steel Panther announced a tour this morning too... and Tragedy will provide support! You might recall I've mentioned Tragedy before - it's an all metal tribute to the Bee Gees, so hell yes! Tickets on sale Friday.

It Had To Happen: Twisted Sister Makeup Collection

Rock and Roll Beauty has another new line - this time it's Twisted Sister! There's eye shadow, lipsticks, eye liners and more. The eye shadows have names like "Stay Hungry," "Moshing," "Wake-up" and "Blastin."

There's no end to what can be monetized today. I'm just waiting for the Ice Nine Kills makeup collection at this point. I'm still salty I didn't start this rock-beauty company.

Sunday's Best: Week 49, 2022

Getting closer to the end of the year and the calendar turning to 2023. It is crazy to me that we are now well past Thanksgiving and into December.

Our Sunday's Best this week is a health update on KIX drummer Jimmy Chalfant. Several days ago, Jimmy passed out during a KIX performance. He had a cardiac event and quite nearly died as he had no pulse or ability to breathe during the medical emergency. Mark Schenker, KIX bassist and Brandon Dull (guitar tech) are both certified emergency responders and experts in CPR. They most clearly saved Jimmy. The tale of how they saved him is in the second post below, written by Mark. Jimmy wrote his own health update Friday and it is good to hear from him directly. He is doing well and will play shows with KIX again in February.

Remember kids - take care of your health and if something seems off, get it checked out.
