Apparently, It's Concert Week

I hate promoting Live Nation / Ticketmaster, but I feel like passing this along: it's concert week and tickets for select shows are $25. On the list of shows is The World Tour (Def Leppard, Motley Crue) and also Alice Cooper with Rob Zombie. There's a lot of country acts on the list, but also apparently Snoop Dog and Shinedown.

Availability depends on concert venue / city, so good luck and happy bargain hunting.

But Who Killed Tony Soprano?

Ok, this new video with Steven Tyler and Chris Robinson promoting the Aerosmith / Black Crowes tour is pretty funny. I'm here for this content. I hope we get more videos as the months march toward the tour kickoff.

Also, don't tell me who killed Tony Soprano. I've never seen a single episode of The Sopranos and I might watch it all someday. Maybe.

KIX Calling It Quits

M3 Rock Festival happened over the weekend. The biggest piece of news out of the event happened during the KIX set, when singer Steve Whiteman announced the band was calling it quits.

KIX will play its final live show together on September 17 at Merriweather Post Pavilion near Baltimore, Maryland.

During his announcement, Whiteman said that his health is starting to fail. We already know drummer Jimmy Chalfant is having issues and of course guitarist Ronnie Younkins has been fighting for his sobriety the last couple of years.

The news is sad but not unexpected. Our favorite bands have been around for decades now and we can’t expect them to perform live forever. KIX still has a lot of dates booked over the summer before that final show. If you haven’t seen them live, this is literally your last shot.

The band is choosing to make this decision as a group and on their own terms. Good for them and I wish them well. I will miss them on the live scene.

Tom Keifer, 'Untitled' -- New Video

I didn't expect this: Tom Keifer just released a video for his song "Untitled" from his 2019 album Rise. I guess the clip is to celebrate the limited edition splatter vinyl release of Rise and also help promote Tom's upcoming tour which starts next month.

"Untitled" is classic Keifer blues-based rock and it's oh-so-delicious.

'Tears Of Blood' - Winger, New Video

Happy Saturday! Winger has a new video for their track "Tears Of Blood" from the band's new album Seven that came out yesterday. I am seeing Winger live next month and I am excited to hear some of these new tracks.

'Hysteria (Drastic Symphonies)' -- New Video

Happy Friday! Def Leppard just released a new video from their upcoming Drastic Symphonies album. The clip is for the symphonic version of "Hysteria" featuring London's Philharmonic Orchestra. The album comes out May 19 and I can't wait. I was a day-one pre-order of course!

Monsters Of Rock Cruise 2024 Lineup

The 2023 edition of the Monsters of Rock Cruise just wrapped. The next one will happen March 2 - 7, 2024 with stops in Jamaica and the Bahamas with Miami, Florida as homeport. The event's Facebook page added a graphic of artists for the next cruise and it includes The Darkness and Crazy Lixx!

Cabins go on sale soon - I would expect the event to sell out quickly, as per usual.
