'An Oral History Of Hair Metal'

Classic Rock and Louder Sound magazine have a nice feature up right now: "An Oral History of Hair Metal." A lot of favorites are interviewed for the piece. It's a fun read for a Saturday morning and I was surprised to see it - enjoy!

Michael McDonald To Reunite With Doobie Brothers

Michael McDonald and the Doobie Brothers will reunite in 2020 for a 50th reunion tour. This is a tour I will not miss! I love McDonald and I love the Doobies, too. I get on a kick and put them both in the rotation at work. The tour dates are below the Rolling Stone tweet.

The Eddie Van Halen Rumor Mill Rolls On

I really don't like sharing gossip posts but these days you never seem to know what is true and what is fake. I despise TMZ yet they are quoted all over has reporting that Eddie Van Halen is recovering after a hospital visit due to cancer drugs. I hope Eddie is feeling okay and we are just really dealing with the rumor mill. I find it curious that Eddie is the most reclusive person in rock... and now all of a sudden he's out and about, going to shows and taking photos with fans. Suddenly he's on social media a lot (via posts from others). I won't let my mind wander to guess that Van Halen is the mythical "4th band" on the Def Leppard, Motley Crue, Poison lineup -- but the reporter instinct in me says something is afoot here.
