Aerosmith To Tour USA

Aerosmith is going to tour America and Slash with Myles Kennedy will provide support. Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry broke the news via Twitter yesterday. So far, no word on dates or ticket prices. Put me down for some first class tickets on this one. Aerosmith is my favorite band and the glam husband has never seen them live, so we definitely want good seats. Needless to say I'm very excited about this one.

Metallica Return To Old Sound

Metallica recently performed their new song "The Lords of Summer" live for the first time. The track is thrashy metal -- basically old school Metallica. Already, it seems like the Internet is divided into two camps on this one. One faction absolutely loves the track and the return to the classic sound. The other faction hates every new Metallica song period. You can go ahead and put me in the first camp. So where are you?

Pretty Maids Release New Video

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

The Pretty Maids just released a video for the song "My Soul to Take." The song is from the upcoming album Louder Than Ever due out later this month via Frontiers. I have to say, the track is one of the "glamest" sounding new songs I've heard in a long time. It's darn good.

I'm looking forward to this one. It seems like Frontiers has all the good releases these days.

Nikki Sixx Ties The Knot

Nikki Sixx married model Courtney Bingham yesterday. The couple got married in front of friends and family in a fancy spot in Los Angeles. Apparently the theme was gothic rock meets French countryside (whatever that means). People magazine has a write-up about the wedding if you're into those sorts of details.

Entertainment Tonight did some stories on Nikki and Courtney as they got prepared for their big day. I'll assume video of the wedding will be on T.V. (and thus YouTube) soon. Here's a link to one of the preview interviews.

Between these nuptials and The Final Tour, 2014 is shaping up to be a huge year for Mr. Sixx.
